Canvas, drill or twill?

Cotton canvas is the heaviest and stiffest of the three, for chore coats and cargo trousers that take hard wear. Cotton drill is a strong twill weave that is lighter and easier to move in. Cotton twill is lighter again, for work shirts and overshirts. Denim is a twill too, for jeans and trucker jackets.

Built for work

  • Cargo trouser with utility pockets and reinforcement options, marked in your tech pack
  • Unlined chore coat with three pockets, so it works year-round
  • Relaxed jean, roomy through the thigh, a good base for workwear details
  • Work shirt in poplin or the harder-wearing oxford, with pockets and epaulettes to your tech pack
  • Padded, waterproof and membrane jackets are not in the range: imported shells break the EU origin rule

Jeans and denim jackets as workwear

The straight jean is the classic five-pocket and the easiest block to grade across a full size run; the relaxed jean adds room through the thigh for work that bends and kneels. Both come in rigid or stretch denim, waist sizes 28 to 44, in indigo or black. The trucker jacket is made in the same denim and wash, so a crew can wear a matching jacket and jean.

Why teams use Sourcing EG for workwear

  • We work on your side, not the factory's. We deal with these factories every day, so we negotiate lower prices for you than a one-off buyer would get.
  • Our own specialist inspects every lot to AQL 2.5. A lot that fails does not ship: our specialist has it fixed and re-inspected, and any cost is settled with the factory, not passed to you.
  • We only source from factories that meet QIZ requirements, so your uniforms enter the US duty-free, and the EU at 0% with a EUR.1.
  • The same canvas and drill mills cover trousers and jackets, so a work uniform matches in fabric and colour.

Questions about workwear

What is the minimum order for workwear?

50 pieces per style, per colour, on stock fabric, spread across your sizes — so 50 cargo trousers in one colour can be split across every size your team wears. Custom-dyed fabric carries the mill's own, higher minimum, and we confirm it before quoting.

What fabrics are used for work uniforms?

Cotton canvas and drill for cargo trousers and chore coats, cotton twill or flannel for overshirts, poplin or oxford for work shirts, denim for jeans and trucker jackets, and cotton fleece for hoodies.

Can workwear be reinforced?

Yes. The cargo trouser has reinforcement options: mark where you want them in your tech pack, and they are costed with it.

How much does workwear cost?

Hoodies cost $8.90 at 50–499 pieces down to $6.90 at 2,000+ pieces per style, per colour, FOB. Cargo trousers, chore coats, work shirts, overshirts and denim are costed to your tech pack, and we reply within two working days.

Can you make security uniforms?

Yes, from the same range: work shirts, polo shirts, cargo trousers and bomber jackets, with SECURITY or your company name embroidered on the chest, sleeve or back.

What work jackets do you make?

The chore coat in canvas or drill, the denim trucker jacket and the cotton bomber, all unlined. Padded, waterproof and membrane jackets are not in our range.

Does workwear made in Egypt enter the US and EU duty-free?

Yes. Into the US at 0%, because we only use QIZ factories. Into the EU at 0% with a EUR.1 certificate, because the fabric is made in Egypt.
