What does Sourcing EG do?
Sourcing EG is a clothing sourcing agent in Egypt. We find the right QIZ-registered factory for your product, manage sampling and production, inspect every lot with our own specialist, and export it to the US or the EU. We name the producing factory on your order. How we screen them.
Why use a sourcing agent instead of going direct to a factory?
Large export factories usually set minimums well above what a new brand needs and expect you to bring your own technical team. We start at 50 pieces per colour, run sampling, inspect before shipment and handle the export papers. We stand in the middle, so any rework cost is settled with the factory, not passed to you. What is your minimum?
50 pieces per style, per colour. That holds on stock fabric; custom dyeing or printing carries the fabric mill's own minimum, which is higher. We confirm the real minimum against your fabric before quoting.
How much does a sample cost?
$20 per sample, which covers shipping it to you. Each sample stage — proto, fit and pre-production — ends in your written approval before anything moves forward. The sample stages.
Do I need a tech pack before I ask for a quote?
It gives the most accurate price. If you do not have one yet, say so in your enquiry and we will send you what it needs to contain. How to write a tech pack.
What is your capacity?
1,000 pieces per month, per category, or 6,000 pieces per month across all six categories. If you need container volumes on one style, a large mill will serve you better and we will say so.
How long does production take?
Proto 5–7 days, fit 3–5, PP 5–7, fabric booking 10–15, and 45–65 days total to ex-factory for 2,000–10,000 pieces. Full critical path.
How long is shipping to my port?
Transit time depends on the route, port and carrier, so we give it with your quote. We quote FOB at the Egyptian port; you or your forwarder book the freight.
Do you work CMT or FOB?
FOB only. The mill sources fabric and trims to your specification. How that compares to CMT and full package.
Who chooses the fabric?
You specify it; the mill sources it. What we hold constant is that the fabric is produced in Egypt, because preferential origin depends on it. Rules of origin.
Which certifications do you hold?
None — certifications belong to the audited party. We supply the current audit reports for the factory running your order. What you receive and from whom.
Can you prove the cotton is not from a sanctioned region?

Do you support isotope testing of the cotton?
US Customs accepts isotope testing as one form of evidence of where cotton was grown, alongside supply-chain documents. If your compliance programme requires it, tell us at quotation so it is planned into the order. Cotton traceability.
Can you supply data for the EU digital product passport?
The textile passport rules are not final yet; the EU expects them around 2027–28. Every order already ships with fabric and trim purchase records and spinner and gin documentation — the origin data a passport will draw on. EU rules for small brands.
Do your goods enter the US duty-free?
Yes. 0% — goods from QIZ-certified factories enter the United States duty-free. We source only from QIZ-certified factories and confirm the producing factory's certificate before quoting. Duty and landed cost.
Do you make childrenswear?
Not yet, deliberately. Children's apparel carries an extra product-safety and liability regime we will take on only once the adult programmes run cleanly.
Do you make padded jackets or technical outerwear?
No. Those fabrics are imported, so EU preference fails, and they need specialist lines. The full out-of-scope list with reasons.
Do you inspect before shipping?
Every consignment, to AQL 2.5 — measurements, workmanship, packing and the document pack. What is checked.
What sizes and colours can I order?
Tops, trousers and outerwear come in sizes S to 6XL, in black, white, red, blue, olive green and burgundy. Jeans come in waist sizes 28 to 44, in indigo and black denim. Those are the stock colours at the 50-piece minimum; other colours are custom-dyed and carry the mill's higher minimum.
