Start from a reference garment
You do not need a designer or a finished tech pack for basics. Send a garment you like, clear measurements and your notes, and we tell you what is missing before we cost it. We reply with a price within two working days, and the 50-piece minimum lets you start with one style in one colour.

Three sample rounds, then production
From an approved tech pack, the published stages add up to 28–49 days to ex-factory: proto, fit and pre-production samples, then fabric and production. More fit rounds extend the fit stage, and transit comes on top: transit time depends on the route, port and carrier, so we give it with your quote.
- Proto sample, 5–7 days: From an approved tech pack. First physical read on fit and construction.
- Fit sample, 3–5 days: After your comments on the proto. More fit rounds extend this stage.
- Pre-production sample, 5–7 days: Pre-production sample in bulk fabric and trims. Nothing is cut before you sign it off.
- Fabric and production, 15–30 days: from your PP sample approval to ex-factory, for orders up to 10,000 pieces.
What you get through a sourcing agent that a factory-direct buyer does not
- A minimum of 50 pieces per style, per colour. Export factories often want far more than a new brand needs.
- Our own specialist inspects every lot to AQL 2.5 before it ships.
- A lot that fails does not ship: our specialist has it fixed and re-inspected, and any cost is settled with the factory, not passed to you.
- Payment: 30% before manufacturing starts and 70% once production is finished and the lot has passed inspection, or payment by letter of credit (LC).
- Every sample stage run for you and approved by you in writing, and the export papers prepared: QIZ documentation for the US, a EUR.1 for the EU.
Test one style before a collection
Stock jersey is where our 50-piece minimum genuinely holds, so it is the lowest-risk way to test production with us before committing a whole season. One tee or one hoodie in one colour is a complete order of 50 pieces; reorder the styles that sell.

Why brands use Sourcing EG for a first production run
- We work on your side, not the factory's. We deal with these factories every day, so we negotiate lower prices for you than a one-off buyer would get.
- Our own specialist inspects every lot to AQL 2.5. A lot that fails does not ship: our specialist has it fixed and re-inspected, and any cost is settled with the factory, not passed to you.
- We only source from factories that meet QIZ requirements, so your order enters the US duty-free, and the EU at 0% with a EUR.1.
- First-time brands start from 50 pieces per style, per colour and a reference garment, with every sample stage run for them.
Questions from startups and small brands
Do you work with brands that are just starting?
Yes. First-time brands are welcome. The minimum is 50 pieces per style, per colour, on stock fabric. The sample fee is $20 per sample, which covers shipping it to you, and you can start from a reference garment if you do not have a tech pack yet.
I don't have a tech pack yet. Can I still start?
Yes. Send a reference garment and your notes, and we tell you what is missing before we cost it. A tech pack gives the most accurate price; if you want to write one, we send you what it needs to contain.
What is the minimum budget for a first run?
It depends on the styles. As an example from the published prices: 100 hoodies cost $890 FOB and 100 tees cost $690 FOB, so a first run of both is $1,580, at the entry price break. Samples, freight and import costs come on top.
Can I test one style before a full collection?
Yes. The minimum counts per style, per colour, so one style in one colour is a complete order of 50 pieces. Stock jersey is where the 50-piece minimum genuinely holds, so a tee is the lowest-risk way to test production before committing a whole season.
How long from idea to delivered stock?
From an approved tech pack, the published stages add up to 28–49 days to ex-factory: proto, fit and pre-production samples, then fabric and production. Proto 5–7 days, fit 3–5 days, pre-production 5–7 days, then 15–30 days from your PP sample approval to ex-factory, for orders up to 10,000 pieces. Transit time depends on the route, port and carrier, so we give it with your quote.
Do I need a sourcing agent?
Not always. Buying direct makes sense for large, repeat orders when you have your own team to sample, inspect and ship. For a first order, export factories often want far more than a new brand needs; through Sourcing EG you start at 50 pieces per style, per colour, every sample stage is run for you, our own specialist inspects every lot to AQL 2.5, and a lot that fails does not ship.
